05/15/2008 - Cottbus, Germany (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Energie Cottbus coach Bojan Prasnikar has signed a new contract running until the summer of 2010 after guiding the club to Bundesliga survival.
The Slovenian was drafted in by Cottbus in September to take over from Petrik Sander and has overseen a superb run of form which culminated in a crucial 2-0 win over Hamburg last weekend.
Cottbus general manager, Steffen Heidrich, told the club's official website: "He has done an excellent job and so we are delighted that we have been able to commit him to the club beyond his original contract."
Prasnikar initially signed a deal running until the end of next season when he moved to Germany.
His side has won six of their last 10 league games to ensure their survival in the top-flight, with either Arminia Bielefeld or Nurnberg set to join Duisburg and Hansa Rostock in the second division.
